After a 14 year absence, Sea Ray Boats re-introduced the Pachanga in 1986 as the Pachanga 2. The
boats were initially offered in 19', 22' and 32' configurations. In 1988, a 27' model was added to the
lineup. The 19' model was discontinued in 1990, but the 22', 27' and 32' models remained in production
through 1991. The 22' model was the most popular selling model of the lineup. The Pachanga 2s, like the
original Pachanga, have a devoted cult-like following.
Popular Mechanics magazine featured the Sea Ray Pachanga 22 in a July, 1987 article. The Pachanga
was the top of the class as it went up against the Donzi, Formula, Chaparral, and Wellcraft Scarab of the
day in a high-performance boat comparison. Click here to read the "Muscle Boats" article.
Once again, in August, 1988, Popular Mechanics, ran another article about the Pachanga 22. This time
Sea Ray furnished a boat for 6 weeks of testing! Click here to read the "Long-Term Boat Test" article.
